Artsicle at Photo Hack Day on Saturday (8/20)

Come join us for the first ever Photo Hack DayArtsicle will be there to introduce our brand spankin’ new API which allows developers to use images and info from our Artists to work into your hacks.  Use Artsicle art like Sophie Staerk’s Miami Room Three or Ken Gonzalez-Day’s At Daylight, The Miserable Man Was Carried.

We’re sure you have lots of ideas of your own, but here are a few to get you started:

a) On Your Wall - See how our art, or any image, would look on your wall using augmented reality.

b) Art A Day - Enjoy a new painting (or photo) every day. We’re thinking background images, a screensaverslideshow, or even a twitter account designed to share new work.

c) The Next Art Star - Find the most popular new artist by letting the public pick their favorites. Could be a this vs that game or any other setup.

Other ideas, along with a full list of APIs available, are listed on the photohackday site.

It gets better. The team with the best use of Artsicle’s API will get THREE FREE months of Artsicle so that they can enjoy the real deal in their homes.  There are a bunch of other prizes available, including $10,000 and a feature on the NASDAQ Time’s Square screen for the grand prize winner.

Look for Scott Carleton who will be presenting the Artsicle’s API on Saturday and be sure to say hello.

Follow @photohacknyc for the play-by-play!
